Assistant to the Director of Birmingham Operations and Project Managers at various locations.Provide support to management in project resource planning.Development of reporting and program files as needed using software such as Excel. Ensure accurate reporting, variance explanations, and progress reporting against physical work and cost budgets. Keep project management advised of project progress, performance, and resource utilization with particular attention to delays, adverse trends, errors, and omissions. Administer Management of Change (MOC) process for pipeline projects from 20 to 700 miles in length including training project team on process.Collaborate effectively with colleagues from all divisions/disciplines including project managers and other project stakeholders. Professionally interface with internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization as well as external clientele. Possesses broad technical and communication skills. Assist project managers in assembling a minimum of 50 Lump Sum and Unit Price “Request for Bid” packages, for pipeline projects as large as 700 miles with just under $2 BN in construction costs, for various clients.Managing confidential communication with bidders during the bid process.Increase client's confidence in our office/company by successfully organizing and verifying completeness of documentation associated with various natural gas pipeline projects, including Department of Transportation (DOT) required documentation.Travel to meet with clients to review and edit Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filing documentation, support construction kickoff inspector training, support project permitting efforts, and attend other meetings as needed.Make weekly travel arrangements. At times, coordinated complex multi-city itineraries.Perform various Office Manager duties including supply ordering, managing several office renovations, researching large purchases.
