System Engineer
CurrentResponsible for the design and budgeting elements of small to medium sized networks, including equipment build, implementation, support, and training. Supported customers included public safety and utility companies where secure, reliable networks play a vital role in mission-critical communications.Key Responsibilities• Successful system design proposals are achieved through partnering with the end customer and/or dealer network to ensure design specifications and expectations are met.• Design equipment includes Cisco networks, Kontron servers, Dell servers, timing devices, Tait radio infrastructure, base stations, and subscriber terminals.• Support technologies include Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier II / Tier III solutions and Project 25 (P25) using simulcast and non-simulcast solutions.• Infrastructure buildouts and implementation include: DMR node controllers and P25 Radio Frequency Subsystems (RFSS) with Site Controllers in redundant environments.• Support dealer network through impromptu training sessions and technical visits review Tait technology portfolio.
