Neha Agarwal Email and Phone Number
I love to create/spearhead innovations that enhance people's lives and nurture the planet.Driving revenue for a product I believe in, is a true passion and joy for me. Embedded Development and Networking have been a never-ending fascination for me through my career experience spanning Kyocera, Freescale Semiconductors, ST-Ericsson and now at Cisco. I really enjoy making a great idea come to life. This has been my driving force since I did my first project on volcanoes in school; to working on the first digital meters by BESCOM as my Engineering project; to forming "Green Warriors" to remove one-use paper cups from Cisco campus in Bangalore; to leading PoE & Smart Linecard (LCs that pick up their driver without a Supervisor) development for Cisco Catalyst switches; to weekend experience engagements with small businesses/NGOs; to driving Cisco SD-WAN business from the S/W Strategy team. My current fascination is Cisco SD-WAN and how it can transform the ease and reliability with which organizations connect across the WAN, be it in Cloud, Colo or on-prem. My work and volunteer experience across various domains and and roles helps me bring a fresh perspective to the table.

Product ManagerCisco Jan 2019 - Jun 2022Bengaluru Area, India -
Program ManagerCisco May 2017 - Dec 2018Bengaluru Area, IndiaAs a Program Manager, I led various Switching and Routing Releases at Cisco to delivery, with good/great quality. One of my most satisfying projects here, was being a part of the Quality Team that looks at those aspects of a Program/Project run/delivery, which are underlying, yet when improved can improve S/W quality and experience of working on that project for various contributors to the project. We used Machine Learning to predict various Quality parameters and hence take preventive actions. Very useful enhancements were worked on, for the bug filing tool. This tool carries a lot of data, which eventually gets assimilated for customer info. It was amazing to have a bird's eye view of the entire process for a S/W Releases and see how everything is connected. Having been an Engineer, this stint was especially useful in connecting dots and using that info for improving the process. -
Sr Software EngineerCisco Systems Jan 2010 - May 2017Bengaluru Area, IndiaEnd-to-end networking platform development experience, whilst leading some strategic platform programs sums up my tenure as a part of the Catalyst Switching System software team at Cisco.Have worked on various components of Catalyst 4k development, from ASIC validation to LC components like Phy, FPGAs, varied I/Fs. I have worked on various aspects of system side for a modular/fixed chassis like Linecards(LC), the Supervisor, the switching/forwarding ASIC, coding for PD(Platform Dependent) part of IOS.Developing the first Mgig LC led to my first patent. I led the LC-SR(Silent Roll) and CR program for a few platforms, which allowed the latest version of ASICs to be available to customers without changing the PID.Post Cat4k, I led Poe Development for Cat2k and 3K platforms and led design for the first 3rd party PoE ASIC for those platforms and their Perpetual PoE.Jtag concepts and Xsvf parser have been an area of focus and expertise too. -
