I know, this title is long and confusing, so what did I do exactly?I was a member of the agency's Management Team, responsible for one of its Business Units.Since taking up this position, my Business Unit has grown from 2 to 6 clients. Yes, it's tripled in size.I was responsible for the Strategy Team.Since I took over, Strategy has gone from the agency's least to most satisfied department. And we have absolutely crashed all the strategy/effectiveness focused competitions like the Effies or Innovation. I started thinking that there might be a connection...I was also in charge of New Business for the entire agency.Since I took the position we have gone from 15% effectiveness in winning new business pitches to 45% in 2022 and... almost 70% (!) in 2023. This was almost scary.I also worked for the DDB Worldwide as a member of DDB's Global Strategic Council.But that is no big deal. We just created a whole new positioning for DDB called "Power to Move".Last but not least, I was still a planner.I wrote briefs, designed workshops and showed my pretty (though creatives might argue) slides to the clients.
