Real Estate Broker / Realtor®
Real Estate Broker / REALTOR® (license #285086) specializing mostly in home sales support.
Co-Owner / Co-Managing Member
Co-own & operate a family-run Property Management business
Owner / Managing Member
Licensed by the Private Protective Services Board, a division of the NC Department of Public Safety (license #3929). Owning & operating my own P.I. company requires selling myself to potential clients and then going the extra mile with customer service. In addition to working the typical surveillance cases normally associated with this line of work I have focused on providing protective services to individuals and companies, and on providing my investigative experience to local attorneys on civil & criminal cases. I always take a methodical & analytical approach to my cases and maintain my technical skills with computers and industry equipment. I enjoy working with people and I excel in producing thorough, detailed reports.
Retail Sales Assistant
In my brief retail experience with UNTUCKit I found that if I believe in the value and quality of the product that I'm selling, combine that with professionalism and a love of working with people, and work hard to provide the highest level of customer service, then I can't help but be successful. During this part-time position I became one of the top sellers, even over some of my full-time colleagues. Along with management, my co-workers and I worked hard to create a fun, relaxed environment while also paying attention to the details of maintaining stock and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing sales floor appearance. We focused on a teamwork approach to assess customers' needs, and we continually honed our knowledge of the products we were selling. I was laid off after only three months due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Signal Security / Tap Audit Manager
As the Signal Security manager my duties were to develop and implement procedures to address incidents of theft and fraud, and to monitor and analyze these procedures to show Security and Sales management how they were decreasing the incidences of theft and fraud while also showing how they were increasing cable subscribership. I managed a team of 15 field techs and two field investigators, and oversaw my department's budget planning. I coordinated with Human Resources and numerous other department heads to conduct internal investigations of employee malfeasance and to educate company personnel on security issues related to theft, fraud, workplace violence and loss prevention. I also served as the company liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement on various criminal cases.
Commercial Support Supervisor
I had previously worked as a tier-3 technician between August 2000 and October 2002 before I was promoted to supervisor. In this customer service role I supervised seven high-level tier-3 network support technicians and indirectly supervised four tier-1 technicians to ensure our broadband services were meeting the needs of our corporate clients. I interviewed job applicants and trained new hires, and evaluated employee performance. I had a "buck stops here" mentality regarding resolving customer conflicts/crises.
Criminal Investigator
I started my law enforcement career as a courtroom bailiff, where my role was to coordinate with prosecutors, defense attorneys, clerks and judges to ensure a safe and well-coordinated environment in the courtroom. The benefit that I gained during my six months as a bailiff was that I cultivated professional relationships with all the courtroom officials and developed a comfortable familiarity with courtroom proceedings. This gave me a great advantage in my next role when I was transferred to patrol division, where I patrolled the unincorporated rural areas of Wake County and served the citizenry by responding to calls, serving papers, and testifying in court. In this role I learned the basics of investigations, how to approach and manage crises, how to think on my feet under stressful circumstances, how to create meticulous, thorough reports, and how to present my cases while testifying in the courtroom. In 1988 I was promoted to the Criminal Investigative Division where I became a plain-clothes detective. In this role I was able to build upon the skill sets that I had developed in my previous roles, and was able to build cases more thoroughly by deploying higher level investigative techniques. I refined my professionalism and skills in interviewing victims, witnesses and interrogating suspects. I was able to utilize various computer systems and databases. I worked hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases during my career in law enforcement.
