Agha-Nwi Fru Email and Phone Number
Oh hello there! I am Agha, an enthusiastic Cameroonian woman who loves to showcase organizations, projects and various initiatives to the outside world. As a kid, I always wanted to end up on TV as a newscaster, entertainer or actress, using my voice and talents to inform, educate and entertain people. I am glad that I could build on this childhood dream to carve out an amazing career for myself. I started off as a broadcast Journalist and later transitioned into the International Development and Humanitarian sector serving as Radio Producer at Equal Access International. 11 years down the lane, I still continue doing what I love best. My current job at the United Nations has further fine-tuned my skills as your go to girl in designing effective communication campaigns for awareness raising, advocacy and resource mobilization. I enjoy working with media professionals in diverse settings and I am most comfortable when using social media to showcase the works of my organization than my personal life. My open mindedness and passion for growth has led me to explore other fields besides communication. While working as Database and Reporting Officer at Creative Associates, I took interest and gained knowledge in countering violence extremism, stabilization and reintegration issues in the Lake Chad sub region. Skills which I now use as a Conflict Monitoring Consultant for the Institute of Security Studies. In 2020, I founded SEMBE a civil society organization aimed at enhancing youth development with focus on mental health, gender, peace and environmental wellbeing among others. My love for learning and personal development led me to apply for the Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute (VLI) in 2020 and I was more than excited when my candidacy was accepted. My 7 month experience at the VLI have been life changing; helping me to polish-up my skills as a Communication Professional and a Change Maker. Thanks to the VLI activities and courses, I have become a better listener, I am able to give more constructive feedback, I am better at resolving team conflicts, building strong and productive networks, personal leadership branding, project development and implementation, just to name a few.I am open to using using my skills to advance the work of organizations but also to help other people I am available to share my knowledge especially with young people trying to carve out a career path or simply working on becoming a better version of themselves.
