I did my PhD at the Institute of Nursing Science (INS), University of Basel as part of the MANOSS (MANagement Of Systemic Sclerosis) project. My dissertation contributed to the scientific and clinical knowledge by assessing chronic care and eHealth implementation in the rare rheumatic disease systemic sclerosis (SSc). Besides my studies I worked as an advanced practice nurse (APN) in the Department of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergology (RIA) at the Inselspital in Bern for 10 years where I established a specialized counseling service for patients with SSc and other rheumatic diseases.In March 2023, I started my PostDoc in the EU-Horizon Project SQUEEZE, in which we will focus on the optimization of Disease Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) in rheumatoid arthritis with the use of biomarkers. Within the SQUEEZE consortium, the Basel project team is responsible for work package 8 (WP#8). Its overarching objective is to develop, implement and pilot test the SQUEEZE eHealth facilitated integrated care model including digital therapeutics (SCM-DTx).Moreover, as a member of different national and international committees and educational teams, my personal interest is to bring the scientific evidence into rheumatology practice and to the patients.
