I am a third-year student in the BS/DO Program at SUNY Old Westbury. Over the years, I have shadowed a pharmacy physician, caroled to the elderly and at the Ronald McDonald House, and am currently shadowing an anesthesiologist at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. These experiences have allowed me to to enhance my listening, communication, and teamwork abilities. Experiences like these have also helped me determine that the medical field is the right track for me. Ultimately, I want to be able to serve the community and help our most vulnerable members. I look forward to more experiences that will allow me to strengthen my skills and gain clinical experience.
