Agri Focus is based in the central WA Wheatbelt. Owner Melissa, is an agronomist with many years experience working both with growers and research agronomy. Melissa believes there is an opportunity to provide a range of tailored research agronomy support services to the wider R&D community, both public and private. Melissa's skill set combines, project management, data management, project development and assessment, collation of data packages for product registration with relevant authorities, the creation of technical marketing material, technical report writing, research extension, and communication. These skills have come from previously working with private R&D organizations, large vertically integrated agribusiness and one of the top five chemical companies for many years. Roles held with Living Farm- National Variety Testing project manager - Project manager for APVMA regulatory work- Project manager for GLP workResponsibilities; NVT Project- Ensure NVT trials are conducted on time and in accordance with guidelines set by GRDC.- Ensure all stakeholders are engaged with during the season to ensure outcomes are met (farmers, GRDC, grower groups, breeders and related industry people).- Ensure data from NVT trials is captured in a timely manner and within in the guidelines.- NVT Database management and report writing.- Field day organisation.- Extension of the NVT project to farmers and industry at various field days.- NVT Contract administration and negotiation.Responsibilities; APVMA regulatory work- Have an understanding of the regulatory framework around agricultural chemical registrations.- Understanding of the data requirements for each independent submission.- Design trial work to obtain the required data for submissions.- Technical report writing.- Negotiation with external laboratory services. - Compiling of regulatory submissions for APVMA.- Relationship development with key people within APVMA.- Clear communication with clients so they understand the needs from APVMA for submissions.Responsibilities; GLP work- Plan and implement trial work to the standard of good laboratory practice for clients.- Maintain all record keeping of during conduct of trials.- Delivery of all data from field phase to client in a timely manner.- Ensure maintenance is conducted of all GLP equipment and ensure compliance with all processes and equipment throughout the duration of trials and beyond. - Continual communication with the client throughout the duration of trials.

Plan and manage field research of new and old crop protection products. Provide technical support to customers and growers across the state for various products. Work with biology teams to provide local background to new products. Provide input into marketing of products.

Conducted and managed contract research trials for various agricultural companies in areas of crop nutrition, crop protection and variety breeding.

Provide technical advice on all areas of broadacre agronomy to growers in the great southern of WA. Sales support to the Landmark branch.
