Provided support to alternative fuel producers seeking to sell fuels under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Analyzed life cycle greenhouse gas emissions on a full life cycle basis using excel based model. Consulted to government entities regarding alternative transportation fuels and their environmental impacts. Performed in-depth research on climate change policy and regulation to enhance client understanding and advocate for clients.

Environmental Scientist focused on life cycle assessment and sustainability. Expertise in the production and use of renewable fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane, propane, and electricity. Supported clients in all aspects of LCFS pathway registration in submission of over 15 different pathways.

Hired by Professor Roland Geyer of the Bren School of UC Santa Barbara to work on a life cycle assessment of used lubricating oils generated in the state of California in accordance with CA State Bill 546. Modeled life cycle impacts of three used oil disposal options under numerous policy and technological scenarios using the GaBi 6.0 life cycle assessment software and database. Worked with local and multi-national oil companies in order to collect primary operations data. Created excel-based combustion model to account for oil composition and combustion device characteristics. The model provided a crucial ability to differentiate between different recycling paths. The results of this analysis are being used by CalRecycle and the California legislature to shape California’s used oil management program and economic incentives for collection and recycling.

Developed tracking and sustainability solutions for national onion grower Gills Onions' agricultural operations. Performed a life cycle analysis of greenhouse gas emissions from onion production to highlight hot spots. Participated in pilot project to develop sustainability tracking metrics for the Stewardship Index for Specialty Crops. This work was associated with my Bren Master's Thesis Group Project.
