About Anthony Herrera

I have spent the last several years creating, adapting, and maintaining code to handle weatherdata for R&D teams. In addition, I worked with both hardware and software to help create a self-sufficient weather station that could return data indefinitely with no physical outsideconnections. My work has primarily been in Python, but I have experience with a variety of otherlanguages as well. With a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, minor in meteorology,commercial drone license, and 3D printing experience with both FDM and SLA printers, I bringa unique perspective to any job and am capable of combining various fields to solve a problem.When not at my desk, you will find me mountain biking, producing a biking podcast, or doingtrail maintenance with the Central Iowa Trail Association.

    As a system engineer at InfraLytiks, I work on creating, processing, and automating systems that turn images captured using a DJI Matrice 600 into usabale data for companies.     As a lineman at Hap's, I was responsible for making sure the Ames Municipal Airport ran smoothly and effectively. This involved many tasks such as fueling planes, taking payments and answering phones. At times the job could be fast paced - such as when 23 planes flew in for a football game - and other times it was slower - such as rainy, cloudy days. Every day was different and the job could change drastically in a matter of minutes.
