Embedded Software Engineer
San Martin - Buenos Aires - Argentina
I worked on several embedded systems projects in ARM architecture and Embedded OS. Electronic Development Free Software Laboratory (DESoL in Spanish), Micro and Nanoelectronics Research Centre.Duties:* Testing and producing documentation of several Android Build System repositories for Texas Instruments (OMAP) and Samsung (Exynos) SoCs, such as Android Open Source Project (AOSP), OMAPZoom, Linaro and Hardkernel. * Customizing Android System Image (Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean) for Samsung Exynos 4210 in the Android Open Source Project repository (creating a profile for ODROID-PC development board).* Developing an Application Programming Interface (API) extension in Android. This API controls the tuner and the ISDB-T demodulator hardware in a set-top box (STB). For future updates, a hardware abstraction layer has been developed and it can be accessed from Java by Java Native Interface (JNI) and Java class file.* Researching and producing documentation about features of Linux kernel post 3.7 (Device Tree and Multiple ARM Platforms) for a new SoC, specifically the SoC and board settings in Device Tree file (DTS).* Testing and producing documentation of the U-boot: bootloader stages, settings and building for Freescale (iMX6), Texas Instruments (OMAP 4430) and Samsung (Exynos 4210) SoCs.* Developing an Android application (APK) in Java language, with complete classes and associated documentation, for a "Portable Platform for Point-Of-Care Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases". The device can be controlled via Bluetooth using a set of basic commands and the app allows to carry out potential step measurements, setting assay options and detection threshold presets for several diseases.* Developing software tools under GNU/Linux (bash scripts and C language).http://www.inti.gob.ar/microynanoelectronica/
