My Story: When I found myself confident in developing software in different languages and technologies (C#, JavaScript, etc.) after about 8 years, I continued my journey toward after-development concerns, e.g. Monitoring, Containerization, CICD, and High Available systems while keeping engaging in other development projects as a consultant to strengthen my development skills too. The line between Dev and Ops is blurry, so I think Software Engineer is more descriptive for a person who solves problems in different stages of the SDLC (software development life cycle).
