Currently, I am working here at Mercy Corps as Humanitarian Programs Manager. In my previous organizations, I designed and successfully completed more than 31 Humanitarian programs (including 3 triple Nexus, and 2 crisis modifier programs) in six regions (Somali, Oromia, Afar, Tigray, Amhara and SNNPR). I successfully coordinated 8 consortium programs and worked with 8 INGOs and 7 local partners (LNGOs); and two programs as a lead. I developed Humanitarian Strategies, ERPP, and conducted due diligence. I have proven experience in managing big donors such as USAID/BHA, FCDO/DFID, EU/ECHO, DRA, German AA/BMZ, GAC, UNOCHA/EHF, UNHCR, and DANIDA grants. I am excellent at managing partnerships and leading diverse teams. In Mercy Corps, I led the successful completion of HARP, EHF, WFP/TSFP, & Disaster Risk Reduction Program(DRRP); and supported the humanitarian team in designing the existing grants (HARP II, 2 EHF grants, and TSFP) so far. I am coordinating four multi-sectoral [HARP II, and 2 EHF grants] programs in Oromia, Somali, and SNNPR. I managed the timely commencement of HARP II and EHF grants in the three regions and led the field team to ensure quality program management. I am working in coordination with the finance team to ensure sound grant management and donor compliance. I also work closely with operations and HR team to guarantee timely management of these humanitarian programs. I am committed to the value of MC and operating towards achieving its key objectives. Moreover, I already understand the strengths and gaps of the current humanitarian operation at the ground level. I have established good working relations with the field and country office team; and learn the expected level of expertise and commitment. Show less
