* In charge of monthly remittances to around 900 municipalities for about 10,000 clients in our tax program across Canada, payments made via Cheque, RBC and EFT* Administrative duties including responding to emails/phone inquiries from clients, brokers, and municipalities* Assisting new clients with enrolment into the tax program, producing quotes with accurate calculations for them to review* Staying updated on local tax regulations, changes, and requirements.* Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines.* Providing training and guidance to team members or clients on tax payment processes and procedures.* Assisting with audits or reviews related to property tax payments and documentation.

* Reconciling payments received with property tax records to ensure accuracy.* Resolving discrepancies and addressing any payment-related issues.* Collaborating with municipal authorities and agencies to transmit tax payments and maintain compliance.* Facilitating communication between the organization and local municipalities.* Identifying areas for process enhancement and efficiency in tax payment collection, reconciliation, and reporting.* Developing and implementing new procedures to streamline operations.Compiling and interpreting data to generate regular reports on tax payment status, trends, and compliance.* Preparing ad hoc reports as needed for management or regulatory purposes.

* Monitoring and managing the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) portfolio, including asset-backed securities (ABS) and collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs).* Overseeing the collection, processing, and distribution of principal and interest payments from mortgage loans within the MBS.* Preparing and distributing periodic reports to MBS investors, detailing payment distributions, performance metrics, and other relevant information.* Maintaining proper documentation of MBS transactions, contracts, and agreements to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
