The diamond drill cores are then geologically logged and recorded into the database after dispatching to an external laboratory.- QA/QC review of analysis results from internal and external laboratories for blast hole samples and drill core samples.- Preparing sample maps for every new blast and defining the sample selection by evaluating the block models.

- Blast pattern mapping for geological interpretations. The mapping is used to define the lithologies and relations between different lithologies, weathering, and the sulfidation/oxidation state of the material. The data is used to define the material types during ore control and the production is directed further according to the geological data.- Preparing grade control maps for the division of ore and waste. Geostatistical and geological models are used to estimate the formation and the localization of the ore. Sampling results and geological data gathered from the site are used during estimations.- Supervising blast hole sampling and tracking assay results. Sampling is done by the ore control workers and they are supervised by the Mine Geologist. The Mine Geologist is further responsible for the delivery of the samples to the laboratory and maintaining QA/QC standards along the process.- Carrying out the sampling for reactive ground risk assessment to prevent any possible serious incidents that may arise from the immature blasting of a blast hole drilled in sulfide bearing material.- Assisting in in-pit exploration to generate new targets for ore production and delineating drilling programs.
