In my position at Penton I was responsible for creation, coordination and analysis of marketing campaigns and promotions for lead generation programs and sponsored programs across the IT and Developer markets; and directly supported sales in selling these programs to vendors. I play a critical role in developing the lead generation program at both a tactical and strategic level. As a Senior Online Marketing Coordinator, I worked closely with internal team members, the sales team, strategic management team, advertisers and vendors to efficiently fulfill on their company's needs in a timely and effective manner. I worked on projects for communities including Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Pro, DevPro, SharePoint Pro, iPro Developer, and Power IT Pro.I also hired, trained, and managed interns for Penton's marketing team, and taught them critical components of what our company and team does. In my last year of college, I teamed up with a local engineer who has a knack for the creative, and together we created websites from scratch for clients. We created our sites from ground up or from existing sites, including copy writing to help with SEO, coding the site with HTML/PHP/ASP.NET or jQuery, adding FTP clients if needed, producing forms, designing logos, and more. Our goal was to keep our web design, copywriting, and coding skills fresh by taking our continued education into our own hands.
