After graduating from St George's University School of Medicine Summa Cum Laude with my medial degree, I moved to Royal Oak Michigan to complete my residency in combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. During this time, I was engaged in several leadership roles including Chief Resident and also spent time as Junior Faculty in the MedPeds Resident clinic as a teaching attending. Shortly after, I moved to New York for Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship where I underwent heavily clinical training but also engaged in basic science and translational research studying the effects of glucocorticoid dysregulation on obesity and metabolism in mice. This has allowed me to add additional skills to my prior experience with clinical and quality-based research.I continue to be interested in the clinical practice of Internal Medicine and Pediatric Endocrinology and hope that I can use my broad skills to bridge the care gap that exists for young adult patients as they seek to transition providers from pediatrics to adults.
