This research draws on historical, cartographic, and legal documentation from the 1400s onward and involves, inter alia, the reconstruction of the City of London's historical street layout. I also undertake research into historic(al) properties and monuments. I advise both internally and externally (parties have included the Crown Estate, Transport for London, Network Rail, the Church, and livery companies, as well as major law firms and property developers).I primarily work with records held at the London Metropolitan Archives and in the City of London Corporation's legal department. I also have extensive experience of consulting records at the National Archives, the British Library, and at smaller collections in London, across the UK, and overseas.[this is a newly named post, lest anyone think I couldn't get promoted for 18 years ;-) ] Show less
