Throughout my life I've had a keen and constant interest in learning about the world around me. This initially led to me getting my bachelor's degree in Political Science from Penn State University. With degree in hand I looked to make my mark on the world by joining the Peace Corps in 2020, however the world had something a bit different in mind. Instead, I ended up becoming an English teacher overseas, allowing me to both spread my appreciation of learning, while being able to continue my own learning.After a time I decided that while I enjoyed teaching, I wanted to take the opportunity to immerse myself in a topic that had always held a lot of my interest, technology. I became a post-baccalaureate student at Oregon State University, looking to obtain a degree in Computer Science. In the past two years I've found real enjoyment in programming, whether it's done in x86 assembly, C, JavaScript, or Python. My time at OSU has also afforded me the ability to serve as both a remote Web Development intern with Digital Resource over the summer of 2023 as well as the chance to work as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant. With my graduation from OSU in March 2024, I'm thrilled to start working in software engineering and to build both experience and connections in the field. I look forward to connecting!
