Current- Collaborated closely with product teams and designers to innovate and introduce new features to the internal Driver app, enhancing fleet operations. - Significantly improved operational speed by leveraging MLKit’s text recognition and CameraX APIs for real-time licence plate scanning, streamlining vehicle identification processes.- Led a major refactor of the Driver app to enhance its architecture, achieving greater consistency and testability across the board.- Facilitated a development process shift from GitFlow to a trunk-based model, optimising workflow with the integration of GitHub Actions.- Pioneered the adoption of Jetpack Compose, integrating Compose (and Kotlin) Multiplatform for a cutting-edge customer-facing app, showcasing versatility across Android and iOS platforms.- Played a key role in app architecture design, responsible for building and maintaining critical components and implementing reusable elements that enhanced development efficiency.- Developed and integrated cross-platform lifecycle and navigation APIs, leveraging Decompose and Essenty libraries for improved state restoration, type-safe navigation, and URL-based deep linking.- Led the writing and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of unit and integration tests for both apps, ensuring high quality and reliability of legacy and new code.
