This summer I spent two months at Ballindalloch Distillery in the heart of Speyside. During this unforgettable internship, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the art and science of whisky production. From working closely with the talented team of distillers to learning the intricacies of the distillation process, working in the shop and doing tours of this stunning distillery, doing tastings with customers every moment was a unique opportunity to grow and expand my knowledge in the world of whisky. Highlights of the experience include: • Assisting in the production from mashing to operating the stills• Gaining hands on experience in the warehouse• Getting first hand experience selling whisky and receiving feedback and perspectives on this first release of Ballindalloch's single malt Scotch whisky• Understanding how Ballindalloch has created a premium brand and the importance of quality control and consistency• Learning about the rich history of Scotch whisky and how the market has changed throughout history
