I am currently a Senior at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and I am majoring in Accounting. As a part-time job, I am a sales advisor for OfficeMax. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing and writing, and if the mood is right, a family game night.As a worker, I would work well within a clearly defined system of rules; one where I will know what I can do, what I can’t do, and how much room there is in between to be creative if the situation demands it. It’s an environment that promotes good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.In the work environment, I can bring a straightforward dedication to finishing a job. It’s my understanding that work is done best when it is done immediately and with full focus, as it leaves the mind relatively stress-free and able to consistently do good work. As such, when I do work, I put all my effort into it to finish it quickly and with high quality.Much of what I’ve come to adopt as my work style has come from my recent experiences receiving an education through the International Baccalaureate program. The IB program showed me how to handle several large projects with constant smaller projects on the side, and I believe my success in the IB program shows that I have grown into a capable worker.
