I’m a Chartered Director and an adviser to business leaders on digital strategy, customer-led innovation and technology. I provide an “outside in” perspective, informed by customer insights, deep knowledge of the marketplace and the use of technology to achieve competitive advantage. I am currently a member of the Governing Body of Technological University Dublin, Ireland's largest university, and am a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. I have served on the boards of private businesses, State bodies, industry associations and not-for-profits.I’m the founder of two businesses and offer a depth of experience drawn from my varied professional and voluntary roles. I’m a co-founder of The Sunday Business Post newspaper and a member of the team responsible for building a leading Irish media brand and its sale to a PLC. I established a digital strategy consultancy in 2001, when the potential of the internet and its business potential were barely understood. I have acted as a strategic adviser to CEOs, business owners and other senior executives on achieving financial, customer experience, competitive and organisational KPIs through the use of digital technologies. A few other career highlights:• I was the first woman to edit a business publication in Ireland• I was awarded a fellowship of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, in recognition for my contribution to marketing profession• I’m an advocate for developing more female leaders, firmly believing that businesses have much to gain through more gender-balanced leadership.• I researched and edited #WomanUp, an action plan on female leadership based on a change model for fostering female talent.Want to learn more? With over 28,000 students, TU Dublin provides an inclusive and open learning experience with pathways to graduation, from Apprenticeship to PhD. I am also a member of the Governing Body's Audit and Risk Committee. -
