- Accurately prepare and assist the provider in transcription of the patient’s visit in the EMR at a Level 1 Trauma Center- Update the patient’s medical history, exams, and other pertinent information- Provide support and guidance to trainees - Utilize medical terminology in the documentation process

- Attend weekly Neurosurgery Grand Round Lectures, Brain Tumor Conferences, Interdisciplinary RECOVER Board Conferences, etc.- Shadow neurosurgeons during clinic at Penn's Neuroscience Center - Shadow physicians in the NeuroCriticalCare Unit during daily rounds- Screen patients in the NeuroICU daily for UPHS’s neurosurgical clinical trials- Assist nurses and clinical research coordinators in preparing the necessary documents and materials prior to consenting a patient- Educate patients regarding all facets of clinical study participation- Perform data entry- Process lab specimens and prepare them for shipment

- Studied environmental science, biology, and local ecosystems in the Philadelphia area- Conducted various tests on Philadelphia’s waterways including the Byberry, Schuylkill, and Pennypack rivers- Dissected various animals and enhanced scientific writing skills - Researched the scarcity of clean water in indigenous communities
