Working with a voluntary management board and local businesses, with the objective of improving trading conditions on Poole High Street. I undertook a review of existing governance, business practices, systems, resources and finances, introducing project management and financial tracking processes and a CRM system. I proposed a refocused business strategy, vision, values and approach which responded to the challenges raised by local businesses and advised the board on recommended next steps. A significant stream of work undertaken was the development of close collaborative working with BCP Council, Dorset Police and local organizations to identify and implement strategies, addressing some of the significant underlying barriers to trading success in the area including; retail crime, antisocial behaviour and begging. I also contributed to Future High Street Fund and Historic Action Zone strategies being developed by BCP council.I designed a social media marketing strategy for the business and wrote and managed content. I also provided support and planning for the BID's community events including Light Up Poole.
