In this role, I delved into the intricate world of corrosion protection, focusing on evaluating the performance of Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs) to combat top-of-line corrosion (TLC) in wet gas pipelines for Oil and Gas industries. Through detailed flow loop testing, I was able to gather critical data and insights that contributed to improve the performance of the VCIs.I was tasked to led the data collection efforts, ensuring that every instrument and piece of equipment was functioning perfectly. Moreover, I ensured that most of the equipment involved during the research was working perfectly within their operating ranges. I also provide some technical support and troubleshooting in resolving any issues arising to keep our field tests on track. This hands-on experience not only honed my technical abilities but also reinforced my commitment to delivering reliable and effective solutions

During my time as an HSE Intern for the Propane Dehydrogenation Plant (PDH) Shutdown 2023 at PETRONAS, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to one of the most complex and high-stakes operations in the industry. My role centered around ensuring the shutdown was executed safely and efficiently, which required me to tackle a variety of responsibilities head-on. One of my key tasks was verifying the training and competency of over 2,000 contractors from various PETRONAS partners. It was a meticulous process, ensuring every contractor met the requirements for safety passport issuance, all while adhering to strict safety regulations and standards. Besides that, I also joined the daily Safety Management Walkabouts, where I assessed workplace hazards and identified over 200 non-compliance issues. Collaborating with the team, we worked to rectify these issues, ensuring a safer environment for everyone involved. These inspections taught me the importance of being detail-oriented and proactive in addressing potential risks. Beyond day-to-day operations, I contributed to process improvements by designing a new Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) procedure aligned with PETRONAS Technical Standards. This not only streamlined risk assessments but also set a foundation for future shutdown projects.In addition to these responsibilities, I acted as the primary liaison for training programs such as Permit to Work (PTW), Authorized Work Leader (AWL), and Receiving Authority (RA). This experience deepened my understanding of HSE operations in large-scale projects and taught me the value of adaptability, collaboration, and precision.
