I understand the importance of meeting a client’s expectation, getting to know them and their needs, so you can really understand what their motivation for the purchase is. Putting the client first comes naturally to me, there is no better feeling than connecting with your customer and finding the perfect product. I have always been accustomed to working under pressure, which has allowed me to adapt well to the role and meet our quarterly targets. We work towards various targets including sales, aftercare, exchanges and completions. As an individual, I am very driven in achieving well, which is why I am always thinking of innovative ideas to drive sales and deliver a great customer experience. Working within a team to achieve these targets is vital as our site construction team are also a part of the client journey. I have also undergone vigorous training courses including the Single Sales Principle where I was awarded a distinction. We are also challenged with Mystery Shoppers, where I achieved 90.9%. This demonstrates the skills I have developed and how I utilise these in providing a high level of customer service whilst being professional when representing the company. I have also been trained in progression of sales where we are required to deal with solicitors, estate agents and financial advisors to ensure a smooth and successful sale. Being adaptable and organised is essential in my role, as I could be required to cover various sales offices, whilst ensuring that my own site is running smoothly. Due to being very adaptable and a quick learner, I have been asked to learn both the Barratt & David Wilson product, so that I am able to work both brands if needs be – most recently I have been given a new busy David Wilson Homes site.
  • Northumbria Healthcare Nhs Foundation Trust
    Nursing Assistant
Northumbria Healthcare Nhs Foundation Trust Apr 2021 - Dec 2021
    North Shields, England, United Kingdom
After the pandemic, I wanted to give back to the NHS which led me to working within the Community Midwifery team as a Nursing Assistant. I took this opportunity as I wanted to broaden my skills. My role involved a variation of clinical and office work. I assisted the Midwives in delivering excellent antenatal and postnatal care. I dealt with all office phone calls within the North Shields region which required me to answer all voicemail messages, organise all booking in of appointments and communicate this within my team. I also filed all patient records and sent these to the relevant departments. I also attended all booking appointments and antenatal clinics where we ensured all was well through blood pressure readings, urine and obtaining bloods as well as looking for a fetal heart rate and ensuring movement is felt. A huge part of the role required good communication between not only the team but also the patient to make sure that we were supporting the mental health of each woman through the huge journey they are taking. Communication with the patient also allowed for the relevant support and information to be given in preparation for motherhood and keeping baby safe. This role has allowed me to challenge myself further as I was able to complete relevant training for my role including venepuncture. I also supported a diverse range of backgrounds through what is a different experience for every mother.
  • Allard’S Lounge
    General Manager
    Allard’S Lounge Jun 2013 - Apr 2021
    Tynemouth, England, United Kingdom
Required to organise a shift, it was my responsibility to organise all areas of the business. I was also required to work back of house which includes managing emails, stock ordering, communicating with accountants regarding takings, percentages and payroll, dealing with a weekly cash sheet, compiling the staff rota and managing social media for the business. It was important to be supportive and encouraging with staff and new starters to build trusting relationships. It was vital to remain organised to ensure the customer receives a great experience. I developed an in depth understanding of Allard's’ food menu to enable me to consider allergies and dietary information ensuring safety and enabling me to inform/reassure customers. The Covid 19 pandemic required me to be adaptable, as the business has required complete re-organisation to enable it to run effectively, whilst keeping staff and members of the public safe. I understand the importance of effective team working; it is important to have a good understanding of individual roles for the business to run smoothly. My role at Allard's gave me the experience of working in a very fast paced and pressurised environment and it was important to be able to multi-task; my role required me to manage the floor, staff and deal with bookings. Dealing with customer complaints was also a part of my role and it is important to have excellent communication skills to be able to show the customer that you are listening, and their concerns are being considered carefully and taken seriously; having good communication skills enabled me to deal with issues in a friendly and effective manner. I feel that I have excellent time management skills that allows me to manage my workload successfully. I feel that this is a skill that is relevant to the success of any working role and will serve me well in the future.
  • House Of Fraser
    Brand Specialist
House Of Fraser Jul 2016 - Apr 2017
    Gateshead, England, United Kingdom
Working as Brand Specialist for Ralph Lauren was a complete change to my previous role and I really enjoyed the challenge and being able to transfer the skills I had acquired in my role at Allards and build on these to suit the needs of this business. This role gave me the opportunity to express my creative side through remerchandising. This involved delivering great customer service by developing an in-depth knowledge of this premium brand. I ensured I was constantly driving myself to exceed my targets by keeping motivated and creating fresh ideas when approaching tasks. As well as delivering great customer service and representing the brand, I made sure that I was monitoring my performance by recording all sales, refunds and comments and delivering them back to Ralph Lauren. My role also included keeping standards of presentation high and keeping my department clean; this was vital for driving the brand. It was also essential to develop a knowledge of procedures and other brands within House of Fraser, as again effective teamwork was essential to meet the needs of the business and enable me to cover different concessions when needed due to sickness/holidays etc. Developing this knowledge also allowed me to be able to recommend loyalty schemes to customers and offer information on other brands. I believe in going the extra mile and understand that it is sometimes necessary to take yourself out of your comfort zone to deliver excellent customer service. It was important to remain professional and presentable as I often acted as the face of the business, travelling to training sessions at different venues in London. During one of these presentations I was presented with an Award for Best Sales Performance for Ralph Lauren across the UK.
