Provides leadership for all marketing and business development activities for approximately 70 technical staff in transportation, environmental, planning, and construction sectors. Directly manage a team of six proposal and graphics staff. Responsibilities: lead quarterly strategic marketing meetings; foster effective teamwork and relationships across offices and disciplines; establish and champion client and pursuit win strategy; develop presentation and interview training; teach, guide, and coach presentation and interview teams; serve as overall lead or section author for major pursuits; streamline proposal and LOR processes and implement quality review process; lead, guide, and coach marketing and graphics team; develop or oversee website, and social media content; create firm brochure and discipline brochures; and perform quarterly and yearly hit rate and ROI analysis.

National

Managed and contributed to strategic pursuit teams for Atkins’ transportation group company. Major contributor to numerous significant selections, including four major General Engineering Consultant contracts in Florida totaling $125 million. As part of the strategic pursuits team, responsible for driving team accountability through managing overall process, schedule, and follow through. Managed and provided input into the creative effort to ensure original and client-focused theme and messaging. Worked with marketing and graphics staff company-wide for production of proposal documents and multi-media presentations. Developed the strategic pursuits program guidebook of best practices including the “toolkit” of checklists and forms. Created a series of sales reports that were subsequently adopted throughout the company.

Colorado

Managed marketing and business development activities for Atkins’ Colorado offices. The department supported 130 staff in transportation, construction, environmental, and civil sectors. Management duties included supervising and mentoring proposal coordinators, ensuring that support was delivered professionally and implemented in accordance with Atkins’ standards. Established annual performance goals and objectives for staff and conducted twice-yearly performance reviews. Assisted the Regional Marketing Manager with the annual marketing budget and assisted technical staff with business plans.

Colorado

Supported nationwide, large-scale, strategic pursuits for the transportation programs division. Responsibilities included writing proposal sections, managing up to 20 teaming partners, providing quality reviews, and producing proposal documents. Also participated in presentation preparation, scheduling, and win theme messaging and strategy. Prepared statement of qualifications documents for transportation division internal and external clients, and assisted with the coordination of trade shows. Prior to being promoted to the transportation programs division, served as the lead marketing resource for the transportation planning, environmental planning, and transportation design groups in the Carter & Burgess Denver office.

Colorado

Provided proposal and presentation support for 40 staff, coordinated with staff from Entranco’s six offices, and supervised a marketing assistant.

Colorado

Provided proposal and technical writing support for 30 staff in the water resources sector. Additional duties included administering the company’s 401K, health insurance, and life insurance plans.
