As a member of DCVFA's Education Fund Board, I advise our members on all things accounting related. It's necessary to keep the assets and liabilities of this 501(c)(3) separate from the activities undertaken by the political arm of DC Voters for Animals, which advocates for laws across a wide spectrum of animal issues and supports animal friendly candidates in DC elections.

Estimated the net carbon intensity of Amazon's worldwide cloud computing (AWS), fulfillment warehouses and package delivery operations, offset by the company's renewable energy projects. Advised clients working on a shareholder action of the socioeconomic impact and operational risk associated with Amazon's carbon footprint and its contribution to climate change.

Advanced strategies that build effective relationships with Congressional committee leaders by identifying common concerns, presenting a resonating frame, and taking a pragmatic approach to problem solving.▪ Formulated strategies that promote carbon fee and dividend policy in Congress and the MD General Assembly, engaging House and Senate Committee Members and staff in drafting legislation.▪ Identified leverage points and opportunities in policy and political landscape that provide impetus to address climate policy across party lines.▪ Developed 37 legislative action profiles that scored Members' willingness to champion climate policy and implemented targeted strategies that improved advocacy outcomes.▪ Provided leadership, training and guidance to CCL chapter members for active listening, diplomacy and research techniques that identify common ground with Congressional leaders.▪ Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with legislative staff and thought leaders in the economics of climate policy.

Developed land-use simulation and economic models using market and non-market valuation proxies across a 7M hectare landscape, launching a $5M Smithfield Foods partnership to prioritize adaptive nutrient management strategies that minimizes ecological risk where investment would enhance ecosystem services in reducing nutrient runoff to drinking water sources. ▪ Provided visualization of data illustrating the environmental effectiveness of different nutrient management scenarios in reducing pollution in downstream rivers and streams. ▪ Collaborated with scientists and hydrologists to ground truth digitized landcover datasets that improved analytical reliability and increased client confidence in projected outcomes.▪ Estimated savings to ratepayers and municipalities of avoided costs of artificial water treatment upgrades through natural infrastructure investment in watershed services.
