My recent project at Durham University allowed me to delve into the molecular intricacies of Non-small cell lung cancer, specifically the impact of heavy metals on p53 mutations. Leveraging laboratory techniques such as fluorescence microscopy and western blotting, I uncovered the role of heavy metals in gain of function p53 mutants in NSCLC. My passion for oncology, and particularly tumour microenvironment interactions, drives me to pursue a career in research and development in the industry sector.
