I was always coming up with "plots and plans" as a child. Leave me alone in the room and I would have knocked out the back of the wardrobe and painted "Narnia" on the wall behind it. Convincing my friends to go along with these cunning ideas took some seriously strategic talking, and I honestly believe that a large part of the skills I use now, weather they are for creating a new concept, coming up with a "cunning plan" for media marketing strategy, or pitching the idea and getting the whole team on board, came from those early days. As children we begin "creating'. We paint, we put on plays, we make up songs. As an only child I learnt to Pitch, communicate ideas, and understand the ideas of others- after all, without the help of a friend there's no way I could paint the Whole sofa before mum got home! In fact, most of the key guidelines I follow to day were learnt before I was 5:1) Create. All the Time. And tidy up after.2) Never stop doing things because sitting down is boring. 3) Share your toys and share ideas. 5) When crossing the road, hold hands and look both ways.6) Don't hit, play fair.7) Do your homework.
