A 2013 First Class English Literature graduate from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge with a passion for typography, copy writing, digital and print design and world languages. Eloquent and an excellent communicator of ideas with a proven history in B2B and client facing roles, now looking to commit long term to a career in a suitable sector within the Norwich or Cambridge areas.I have excellent writing and verbal skills which have been further developed through six years of client facing roles. This has been through working directly with customers in retail stores at Asda and Wickes, proofing and editing for clients and being directly involved with B2B sales calls at trade giftware manufacturer Nevada Leathergoods.During my degree, I worked effectively both as part of group work (consistently achieving upper second or higher grades in presentations), and individually (where I could apply myself to the task at hand). I work well in collaborative idea-sharing situations, and as a result I proved myself a valuable team member in seminars. Outside of lectures I was able to use my existing Japanese A* GCSE to study the language both as part of a Languages module and to further this in an extra-curricular capacity at Robinson College.Outside of my current work, I am volunteering as a fund-raising assistant for a charity (supporting MS & ME), volunteering B2B-based international calls and resetting a newsletter template. I have recently begun attending the Cambridge branch of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and hope to become British Standard certified in proofreading in the future. Following the First I received for my dissertation, I also sometimes provide voluntary content editing for the academic journal Digital Humanities Quarterly.
