Originally I trained as a sculptor and became known for large scale sculptural installations, stage set commissions and window displays for Selfridges. As a fine artist, I worked with the Riflemaker and Nyehaus galleries, exhibiting in both London and New York, and sought by private collectors. The transformation into fine jeweller and businesswoman has been a natural evolution.I began to want to make pieces of work that were a part of life and not need a stage to be seen, I wanted to create miniature sculptures that could be used daily. The field of jewellery became an obvious choice. I built up my jewellery industry credentials by training with Shaun Leane and Paul Ravn before launching my own fine jewellery brand Le Ster in 2017, a simultaneously exciting and terrifying experience. My first collection, "Light The Grey" has been described as "perfectly embodying the zeitgeist in contemporary jewellery" with precious, wearable jewels that can be scaled up or down and transform from subtle to statement in an instant.
