Aishwarya Kumar Email and Phone Number
I am a planetary scientist and postdoctoral associate at Space@VT, passionate about uncovering the mysteries of planetary atmospheres and their dynamics. Through my work, I leverage observational data from remote sensing and in-situ instruments to study and characterize atmospheric phenomena on Mars. My research focuses on developing and refining mathematical and physical models to accurately predict changes in the Martian atmosphere. These efforts are essential for advancing our understanding and forecasting of Martian atmospheric conditions, which are critical to optimizing space mission strategies. As someone who works with high-volume scientific data and applies machine learning techniques to better understand the dynamics of the Martian upper atmosphere, I am eager to extend these techniques to address real-world problems. I aim to pivot this expertise toward tackling critical issues on Earth, particularly those related to climate change and sustainability. The same principles that guide my research on Mars can be adapted to forecast and mitigate environmental issues, offering innovative solutions to some of the most urgent problems facing our planet today.
