The Mind4Youth Volunteering Program is a 6-week virtual program that involves a mental health curriculum and learning about various global health issues to learning how to manage your stress.

The Buzz Magazines offers a unique program, School Buzz, in which high school students can write about what's happening at their schools from their perspectives. "The Buzz" is a family of publications that can be an important way to capture a slice of high school life.

Volunteer at various cultural events, carnivals, and festivals. Government funding covers only a portion of the Houston Public Library's operating expenses. Citizen tax-deductible gifts empower us to fund vital programs and services, keeping them FREE for all Houstonians. Volunteer support is essential to our mission at the Foundation, advocating and fundraising for Houston's library system.

Houston Food Bank provides programs and services aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability including nutrition education, job training, health management, and help with securing state-funded assistance. I worked primarily at the community resource center, cleaning, sorting, weighing and packaging food for pantries, soup kitchens, schools, multi-service centers, and other hunger relief agencies. I also have worked on the Mayor's Back to School initiative where we focused on providing school supplies to the children in our community to get them excited for school. I also worked on disaster relief packages that helped our community recover from the power black-outs and floods we experienced in the summer of 2023.
