Ajay Agarwal is a Partner with Bain Capital Ventures, where he has led early-stage investments in SAAS and business application companies for almost 20 years. Ajay is a pioneering investor in the modern sales and marketing stack with early investments in Clari, Gainsight, SendGrid, 6Sense, and Reprise. He has also been one of the earliest and most active investors in logistics, supply chain, and operations, with investments in Kiva Systems, ShipBob, FourKites, and Vention. In addition, Ajay has backed innovative productivity solutions, including Clockwise and Magical, vertical SAAS with Homebase and AutoLeap, and the modern CFO stack with Airbase. Before joining BCV, Ajay led product and GTM for Trilogy Software, where he scaled revenues from $1M to $300M over eight years. Ajay has been named to the Forbes Midas List of the Top 100 tech investors multiple times, and he has a BS in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.In addition to his firm and portfolio company responsibilities, Ajay serves on the National Board for BUILD.org, a nonprofit dedicated to helping disadvantaged high school students attend college through a program focused on entrepreneurship.
