In this role I led a team of 45 members including developers, sysadmins, and BAs in coordination with multinational vendors to develop and support applications for Bharat’s customer loyalty program, a first of its kind in India that grew to 2.2M users across 12,000 gas stations ($3.8Bn USD in prepaid 2021 cash transactions. My team built a new modern system to replace a legacy system built years earlier, and introduced features for digital payment, an online portal with redemption capabilities, integration with SAP, QR code-based promotions, an SMS-based app, and a mobile app. The system was built using Java C, Oracle database, hosted by 10 Intel servers with AWS backup that updates every 15 minutes, with capability to process 150k transactions in 18 hours at peak. Other work included introduction of SAP-BI tools to provide insights to market trends and enable improved targeting for specific customer types across various regions, and build of web applications, an SMS application, and an Android app for fleet customers to view and update card limits. I also established Disaster Recovery plans, oversaw a data center migration, and had oversight for IT infrastructure.

In this role I focused on leading my team in development of an HR intranet using SAP HR and a custom .NET application to track 15,000 employees across India. Our .NET apps tracked employee leave, medical reimbursement, and transit flat booking, and automated manual tasks of HR staff to enable repurposing of 10 employees. The team delivered the solution and its integration with SAP HR with a in four months. During this time we also delivered a data repository for updating and storing HR data from .NET applications, synced with SAP HR.

I served as Project Manager for an SAP HR and Payroll implementation for 12,000 employees, and led 10 SAP ABAP developers to complete the implementation of the SAP HR module in six months.Other projects included implementation of a .NET package to collect payroll transaction data from 300 locations across India, and streamlining of 125 legacy report to 24 MIS reports in ABAP/4, and managing an SAP Payroll implementation with ~125 interfaces developed in ABAP/4 and legacy data loading through BDC.
