Working on the ICX FastIron Switching/Routing platform across multiple areas - including performance improvement in existing L3/ARP control plane, adding support for new protocols such as BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection), NFV enablement with Openflow and adding new management interfaces such as yang/restconf for L2/Multicast snooping.

Responsible for data plane product and platform enhancements, new technology introduction and integration. - Design and implement support for IPv6 transport for UEs/Subscribers in the LTE data plane.- Added support for gtpv1-u path management, tunnel management and alarms for all gateway interfaces. - Added support for QoS Rate enforcement for Non-GBR LTE Bearers.- Redesigned Data plane memory management to reduce memory usage per PDN by 85%.- Added multi-threading support in control plane interface and message handling to improve performance by 45%.

LTE-EPC Data Plane Engineering.Lead Data Plane Architect responsible for designing and building high performance x86 based end to end data plane solution for NFV enabled LTE EPC and LTE Mobile Gateway products. - Responsible for system level design and implementation of data plane fast path, including an IP/UDP stack, DPDK Integration, and performance characterization. - Integrated with in-line Deep Packet Inspection based on a third party DPI engine.- Designed and built a scalable cluster architecture for data plane, including an aggregation and inter-plane forwarding library, integration with third party high availability and cluster management middleware, with performance testing up to 40 Gbps cluster throughput.

LTE-EPC Development.- Developed LTE-Security, Encryption and Integrity Protection framework for authenticating LTE subscriber using symmetric-key cryptography, and add support for AES-NI based acceleration on Intel platform.- Added x86 64 bit support and multithreading for CDR generation for the gateway products.- Implemented 3GPP defined Ga interface for CDR transfer using GTP prime protocol, including encoding/decoding, load balancing, and throttling support.
