# As an Automation Engineer at Pine Labs, one of my key achievements has been designing and maintaining a full-fledged framework from scratch and creating dynamic test cases for the Payments app end-to-end flow on EDC POS Devices also leading a team of talented fresh graduates to add new test cases for every new component. # This project involved intricate work with SQL database calling, Chargeslip processing and field validations, API integrations and testing, and ISO Packet validations. Prior to the implementation of this automation framework, the manual QA testing process for a new OEM product launch that involved a new API host calling, backend logic IMEI/Serial number validation, OTP validation on our EDC POS Devices would often take 5-6 days to test completely, with a testing accuracy rate of approximately 85%. Moreover, the initial testing estimates for each product release were based on this time frame. #With the new framework in place, this testing time was dramatically reduced to a mere 1 hour, and our testing accuracy increased to an impressive 98%. This accelerated our product development and deployment cycles and also reduced testing estimates and product release by over 90%. # Designed and implemented 24 highly dynamic test cases utilizing XML-based test inputs, resulting in comprehensive test coverage encompassing over 600+ unique test scenarios. # Maintained and updated the test cases as the software evolved, ensuring that they remained an effective tool for quality validation.# Leveraged a combination of parameterization, data-driven testing, and conditional logic within the test cases to ensure adaptability to changing requirements and input variations and cloned every amount calculation logic present in the backend to ensure there was no break in the calculation for any transaction before every release.# It has been a testament to the power of automation in streamlining processes and driving business success.
