QC/Welding Engineer>B.E.(Production) ,CWI,ASNT UT,VT LEVEL-2 with 7 years exp. Job Profile:- Hull structural inspection & stage wise fabrication as follow.Sub-Assembly :-Plate identification, Plate lamination check, nesting plan, Marking, Edge preparation, Fit-up, welding.Assembly :-Alignment of bulkheads, girder and frames by water Level, plumb, spirit level etc., missing elements, welding.Erection :-Block butt fit-up, Block to block alignment, welding according to welding schedule, dry survey of same. Receipt of incoming material and ensure Heat no., Batch no. etc, visual inspection, check dimension, mill scale, pitting. To ensure that the fabricated structure comply with the specified requirements of pertinent drawings, quality standards and customer specifications at various stages of fabrication. Carried out inspection like Dry survey, Keel sighting, Draught mark checking, Load line testing, inclining test, Dock Trial, Sea Trial tec. Testing like APT, Hydro test, Structural test, Hose testing, vacuum testing. Arranging & witnessing NDT’s like UT, RT, and DPT according to NDT plan for hull. To qualify welding procedure & welders and prepare WPS, PQR, WPQ. To verify the lab test reports of the test coupon after Destructive tests like Tensile test, Bend test, Impact test, Macro examination, Hardness test, Fracture test etc. Interaction with NDT agency, Owners & Classes like IRS, BV and RINA. Inspection of outfitting & accommodation. Inspection of Machinery foundation, under deck stiffening and installation like Main Engines, DG, Cranes, Windlass, Mooring equipments, etc. Documentation:-Prepare & maintain documents like QAP, Quality manual, Ship building & ship repair manual, surveyor visiting & inspection reports NDT plan, Tank testing plan, Testing reports, As fitted drawings, NCRs,Mill TC & Class approval certifications, Inspection reports tec.
