About Amanda Burris

I pride myself in being a dynamic and engaging English teacher with 5+ years of experience teaching 8th and 12th graders. While my focus is on 8th and 12th graders, I have taught at least once course in every grade level in grades 8-12. I am a goal-driven, enthusiastic, and passionate educator who plans lessons with the students in-mind. My goal is to increase student interest in reading by developing enriching classroom activities that promote accademic rigor and encourage critical thinking skills. I am also the Varisty Theater Coach (5 years) and an advisor for the Hi-Y Club (5 years).
