Checking of Invoices / Claims, Materials estimation and order for procurement. Handling & monitoring construction activities of project including related miscellaneous civil works. Working as Bridge Engineer in the Team of Independent Consultant (RITES- Sheladia JV in association with Halcrow Consulting India Ltd.) in Delhi –Gurgaon Expressway. Reporting to the Team Leader in Project monitoring and supervision of day to day construction activities as per the MORT&H specification, IS Codes and IRC guidelines on day to day execution of works. Some important tasks are:Review of design and working drawings of various structures components prepared by the design consultants, approving working drawings, setting out of works, checking laboratory and field tests carried out the contractor, reviewing test results, reviewing of contractor’s work program and methodology, technical supervision of works, reviewing and approving setting of bridges and structures, checking of mix design, reinforcement and concrete laying operations, ensuring performance and quality of work in accordance with Technical Specifications, drawings and contract stipulations, verification of measurements & recommendation for issuing interim payment certificates, assisting Team Leader in examination of claims and variation orders, evolving a system for quality assurance and quality control of works, inspection of completed works with client, final statements, progress monitoring,etc.

Project Engineer is for construction contract supervision for improving the quality of the work. Reporting to the Project Director on day to day execution of works. Some important tasks are: Review of design and working drawings of various structures components prepared by the design consultants, approving working drawings, setting out of works, checking laboratory and field tests carried out the contractor, reviewing test results, reviewing of contractor’s work program and methodology, technical supervision of works, reviewing and approving setting of bridges and structures, checking of mix design, reinforcement and concrete laying operations, ensuring performance and quality of work in accordance with Technical Specifications, drawings and contract stipulations, verification of measurements & recommendation for issuing interim payment certificates, assisting Team Leader in examination of claims and variation orders, evolving a system for quality assurance and quality control of works, inspection of completed works with client, preparing final statements, progress monitoring, verifying ‘as built’ drawings etc.Check and monitor process of production of quarry material, Aggregates, Concrete, Wet mix macadam and Asphalt mix.Checking of Precast units like Boxes and Pipe for Culverts, Foundation Blocks for Signpost and Markers.Preparation of Statistical analysis reports of concrete cube strengths. Identifying boulders and fixing for Dry or mortared Riprap and Slope protections.Checking Laying of paints for Road Marking.

Checking from EPC side of pre cast Pile caps, beams, walls, pre cast slabs pre cast service ducts, Tanks, Concrete piles, Concrete pipes etc. Post pour inspection, Release of pre-cast element before erection. Off shore & On shore erection of pre cast elements. In –situ concreting of ship lift pier including (pile plug and pile socketing), End transfer bay, Wash down berth, Transfer bay, dry berth etc. Laboratory activities like compressive strength testing of cubes, moisture contents, water absorption, Sp. gravity, Air Content and Shrinkage of concrete etc and also maintaining their records at Consultant side parallel to contractor.Taking temporary compression of Steel piles (Marine and Land) driven by Floating barge and also from Gantry moving on temporary piles with Delmag 80, D100 hammer, Concrete piles (land) by Rig and their final set with the Physical and also by total station. Drilling under Raker Piles and Socket conc. drilled holes along with pile plugging.Vibrio compaction of reclaimed area of sea shore and for drainage Work under Transfer bay. Taking Fdd, Relative density and Scpt test of compacted area.

Checking of pre-cast pre stressed beams, pile caps, walls, precast slabs etc. Post Pour inspection, Release of precast element before erection. Fabrication and erection of pile frames, offshore & on shore in –situ concreting. Laboratory activities like compressive strength testing of cubes, moisture contents, water absorption, sp.gravity, Air content of concrete etc and also maintaining their records. Maintaining ISO 9001 documents and internal auditing of all departments as well as contractors site office also.

Supervision and checking of RCC and Steel Structures, Equipment Foundations for F-Blast furnace at TATA Steel Plant, precast slabs, walls and buildings, Fabrication of steel shuttering for Iron & Slag Runners, main runners, tilting runner etc. and maintaining their records.

Preparing and maintaining quality documents like work Methods I.T.Ps, checklists etc., Quality checking of precast pre stressed beams, pile caps, walls, precast slabs etc. Post pour inspection, Release of precast element before erection. Fabrication and erection of pile frames, offshore & on shore in –situ concreting. Laboratory activities like compressive strength testing of cubes, moisture contents, water absorption, sp.gravity, Air content of concrete etc and also maintaining their records. Construction of Industrial Buildings ,Equipment foundations, Pipe sleepers and Minor Roads etc.Was involved in all stages viz. preparation of internal budget, SOR as per the prevailing market values, Invoicing the I.P.C for the client and subcontractor, planning and execution of the project. Was solely responsible for quality, and liasoning with the clients at all stages. Some important tasks are:(a) Identifying quarries for materials in construction.(b) Preparation of design mix for concrete. (c) Preparation of mix for Water bound macadam.(d) Interacting with the Consultants/Clients for approval of the works executed.(e) Testing of construction materials at field / laboratory.
