Achievements also included developing further improvements to phosphoproteomic protocols, creating a new method for sensitive and quantitative membrane proteomics using isobaric tagging chemistries, and overseeing the design, creation and implementation of the bioinformatics protocols and tools required to analyse extensive datasets.Innovations and discoveries are reported in 4 peer-reviewed publications (as principle author), and 10 conference presentations including 4 invited talks (London, Manchester, Vienna and Zurich). -

This was my first foray into the nascent field of Proteomics, which had been made possible by the completion of the Human Genome Project.My work involved pioneering innovative chemical applications to enable high sensitivity biological analysis of proteins and phosphorylation. I enjoyed collaborations within the Proteomics unit, with biological research teams at the Ludwig Institute, and with chemistry teams at the University College London Chemistry department and the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research.Innovations and discoveries from this work are reported in 2 peer-reviewed publications and a patent application, and 7 conference presentations including an invited talk at the annual American Society of Mass Spectrometry meeting.
