Thanks for stopping by! I am an Earth scientist (specializing in geophysics). I have researched about drumlins, glacial lake sediments, and rift systems. Besides exploring the beautiful Earth, I like to work on my car, jam with friends (as a drummer), and sometimes code.

Doctoral Researcher - Subsurface Process ModellingGfz Helmholtz Centre For GeosciencesPotsdam, Bb, De -
Doctoral Researcher - Subsurface Process ModellingHelmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre Gfz Sep 2024 - PresentFunded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions as part of the TALENTS Doctoral Network, my research focuses on investigating the impact of large- and small-scale tectonics on geothermal potential across a rift system (where the lithosphere is being pulled apart), such as in the Upper Rhine Graben between France and Germany. I am conducting long-term, lithospheric-scale geodynamic models (using numerical code ASPECT) and shorter-term, reservoir-scale fluid flow models (using GOLEM), coupling stress and strain conditions between the two to analyze their tectonic response. -
Co-FounderViridis Labs Inc. Jun 2023 - PresentThis is a side project I have been working on with my partner, who specializes in mechanical engineering. We aim to build clean technology devices that improve urban living but not at the cost of the environment. This means that they are long-lasting, easy to fix, and made with sustainable materials. My tasks involve incorporating the company, filing for corporate income tax (T2) and GST/HST returns, assisting with product designs, developing websites, maintaining web and email hosting through cPanel, and market research and advertisement. -
Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Toronto Sep 2022 - Apr 2024For EESB26: Introduction to Global Geophysics, PHYD26: Planetary Geophysics, and ESS205: Confronting Global Change. -
Research Assistant - Geodynamic ModellingUniversity Of Toronto May 2022 - Apr 2023Prof. Phil HeronI investigated the dynamics of rifting via numerical modelling using supercomputers. I simulated multiple layers of rock of various physical properties (e.g., temperature, strain, composition) undergoing extension and deformation for millions of years. The models allowed us to find out what factors control the tectonic process and what physical conditions are needed to initiate continental break-up. I presented the results at the 2023 Canadian Geophysical Union Annual Meeting in Banff, Canada. -
GeophysicistAbitibi Geophysics Jan 2022 - Apr 2022I processed and mapped preliminary geophysical data (e.g., magnetic, induced polarization, and gravity surveys) using Geosoft Montaj. I also developed map templates and control scripts for the software to streamline map production. -
Researcher - Seismic Reflection ProfilingUniversity Of Toronto Sep 2021 - Dec 2021Prof. Nick EylesI examined the stratigraphic profiles from a seismic reflection survey of the Lake Simard basin, western Quebec, Canada. We identified two sediment layers that reflect the changing depositional environment during the retreat of the Laurentide Ice Sheet (an ice sheet that covered most of North America). We found evidence of soil disturbance (mass flow deposits) under the lake floor that could be linked to old earthquake history, or reflect the abrupt influxes of sediment during ice retreat. -
Research Assistant - Gis & Glacial GeologyUniversity Of Toronto May 2021 - Aug 2021Prof. Nick EylesI trained for automated processing of large LiDAR data for identifying glacial geological features (e.g., drumlins) using high-resolution satellite images. I assisted with interpreting the past glacier dynamics and glacial history of North America by classifying these glacial 'relics' using ArcGIS. I also contributed to various field projects: using remote drone and LiDAR to estimate invasive species in Ontario; testing geophysical equipment for the course Exploration Geophysics; and a 2-week road trip capturing media around the Georgian Bay for an e-Learning Ontario course.
