In this role I served a dual responsibility as a senior backend application engineer for a Snowflake powered data warehouse along with leading the daily data operations and BAU activities for the data cloud team.. Led the Release management and checkouts process for the Aladdin Data Cloud Team helping in reducing operational risk by carefully reviewing all deployments.• Designed a central caching service using Java, Spring Boot and Scala in a legacy data pipeline application server to reduce the number of metadata API calls by 99% thus giving back time to be used for data ingestion activities.• Implemented a fault tolerant, horizontally and vertically scalable design for a core technical data quality check application using Java and Spring Boot resulting in reducing time taken for data validation by 30%• Integrated data quality and validation checks in a data ingestion orchestrator module usingJava, Scala and Python resulting in 100% identification of upstream data issues
