My journey in the world of work began as a Junior Chemist in a bustling milk plant. But my thirst for learning and growth led me to venture into the Production department. Here, I embraced the role of a production executive at SS Food Industries, a renowned biscuit manufacturing company. For a remarkable 18 months, I spearheaded efforts to meet production targets, reduce costs of final products, allocate and manage manpower, ensure smooth production operations, and champion health and safety initiatives. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of training workers, driving continuous improvement, and meticulously handling all documentation.Fueling my passion for knowledge, I pursued a Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Technology at the prestigious Ara Institute of Canterbury. This enriching experience, spanning from February 2020 to December 2021, equipped me with invaluable skills and expertise. Presently, I find myself in the captivating role of a Laboratory Analyst at Synlait Milk Limited's Chemistry lab since June 2021. Here, I delve into the fascinating realm of ISO 17025:2016, conducting various chemistry tests that encompass a wide range of subjects. From determining fats by RG to analyzing Nitrate and Nitrite levels, Aflatoxins via HPLC, Lactoferrin content, Titratable Acidity, Wettability, Foreign matter, pH, sensory evaluation, moisture levels through the Oven method, Bulk density, Sieve testing, and even the Insolubility Index, my knowledge knows no bounds.Fueling my hunger for growth, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Food Innovation. This ongoing pursuit, which commenced in February 2023, opens doors to exciting opportunities as a food technologist, research assistant, and even a trailblazer in new product development.The journey so far has been exhilarating, and I eagerly anticipate the next chapter in my professional odyssey, where I can continue to make remarkable contributions to the world of food and science.
