AKJ Engineers is a three decades old distributor and applicator of Sika products in East and North East India with offices in Kolkata, Guwahati and Patna.

CEE 498 Construction Equipment and Methods Facilitated weekly discussions on topics related to Construction Equipment and Methods in class and in office hours. Graded Building Information Models (BIM) and reports on a weekly basis to make students understand various construction methods and techniques.

Worked at Rush University Medical Centre, New Ambulatory Building project, which is estimated to have a total project cost of 450 million dollars and expected to be completed by 2022.

CEE 300 - Behavior of MaterialsFacilitated lab experiments for undergraduate students on the behavior ofcommon construction materials including steel, concrete, and wood subjected todifferent types of loading.Graded weekly lab reports and gaging students’ understanding of lab andtheoretical concepts.

Worked on automating the process of generating 4D BIM models by using machine learning algorithms to link construction schedule with BIM objects. Performed data analytics and data visualization on 10 Construction Schedules for optimizing the accuracy of the machine learning algorithm.

• Led multiple electrical, mechanical and, rigging contractors for installing Model 3 manufacturing tool lines while meeting the scope, budget and schedule requirements.• Managed T&M contract with a rigging contractor for bringing in and installing manufacturing tool lines. • As a part of the pre-construction team for Phase 2 expansion of the Gigafactory, prepared scope of work for underground utilities and third-party inspections. • Performed bid analysis and provided cost-saving solutions for underground utility project.• Facilitated weekly meetings with the steel fabricator and structural design team to check design and fabrication progress• Collaborated with an AI based scheduling startup to use their platform on a trial phase for one of the base build projects at the Gigafactory, and provided the cost benefit analysis of the platform to Tesla management. • Coordinated with the engineering team to close out critical RFIs and provided constructability perspective for design changes.

• Performed a comprehensive literature review of the current Illinois Department of Transportation approval procedures of traditional and alternative noise barriers on roadways. • Assisted in drafting an online survey for other state DOTs to gather and analyze their procedures for approving alternative noise barriers.

• Constructed 4D BIM models for the $1B expansion project of Jacob K Javits convention center on the Reconstruct Platform to enable the platform to monitor progress on the construction site. • Divided the BIM elements on Navisworks for Centene Urban Campus project to make the process of assigning elements to its work location on the Reconstruct Platform efficient.

• Performed pull-off adhesion tests, tapered abrasion tests, direct pull-out tests on Sika sealants and Sika adhesives.• Installed Sika flooring products on concrete and wooden base and mixed Sika grouting and Sika admixture products to test it for different properties and compare it with competitors’ products. • Gained experience in dealing with contractors and structural engineers on claim requests, RFIs and recommending Sika products according to their project requirements.

• Worked as a trainee in the East West Metro Rail Project in Sealdah, Kolkata. • Interacted with the Civil engineers on site to get a better understanding of the laying of the foundation or the sub-structure, the time required for the completion of a particular project etc. • Responsible for ensuring that health and safety standards were complied with.
