I'm a journalist with two decades' worth of experience writing and editing. As a reporter and editor I have covered everything from politics, policing, education, healthcare, and infrastructure to racial injustice and the coronavirus pandemic. My work has held the powerful accountable, told stories for those who couldn't tell their own and pushed against forces trying to block positive change. I work in multiple formats, including text, photo and video. I have managed teams of up to 17 journalists, and I have also written and edited books. In my volunteer experience, I have mentored students and young journalists with the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA),NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, the National Association for Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), and my alma mater, Louisiana State University (LSU).
