Magellan Behavioral Health has been awarded one of the contracts to deliver the MFLC Program and is providing the majority of rotational and on-demand counselors in the United States for this important program. Magellan’s MFLC rotational employees provide short-term, situational, problem-solving, non-medical, “walk-around” counseling services to active duty military members serving in all branches of the military, the National Guard and Reserves and their family members. The MFLC Program includes a Child and Youth Behavioral Counseling Program (CYB) specifically for young family members.Magellan continues to actively recruit MFLC adult counselors, MFLC embedded counselors, Special Operation Command (SOCOM) counselors, CYB school-based counselors, and CYB child development center or youth program counselors to become rotational employees. Magellan is especially interested in counselors who are local to a military installation and who have prior experience working with military members and their families. In addition, Magellan offers opportunities for counselors with proven leadership experience to work as MFLC regional directors and regional supervisors.

Multisystemic TherapyMultisystemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive family- and community-based treatment program that focuses on addressing all environmental systems that impact chronic and violent juvenile offenders -- their homes and families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods and friends. MST recognizes that each system plays a critical role in a youth's world and each system requires attention when effective change is needed to improve the quality of life for youth and their families. MST works with the toughest offenders ages 12 through 17 who have a very long history of arrests.MST clinicians go to where the child is and are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a weekThey work intensively with parents and caregivers to put them in controlThe therapist works with the caregivers to keep the adolescent focused on school and gaining job skillsThe therapist and caregivers introduce the youth to sports and recreational activities as an alternative to hanging outMST is based on evidenceThis means it has been proven to work and produce positive results with the toughest kids. MST-PSB is clinically adapted from the MST model to address youth from ages 10 through 17 who have problematic sexual behaviors. MST-PSB relies heavily on family therapy as a mechanism of change for the youth and family and draws on models of parent training, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and social skills building. Ensuring that client, victim, and community safety is the paramount mission of the model. Service delivery takes place in the home or community.

This includes providing information to potential students with respect to program format, admissions, degree options, requirements, costs and providing information on partner institution policy. Work with previously enrolled students for matriculation to the next level program. Assists students in making informed decisions by providing ethical, timely, accurate, and comprehensive enrollment options and program information. Act as a personal coach to help students select a degree, complete the enrollment process and make a smooth transition into the classroom. Is proactive in identifying potential barriers within the student enrollment process and initiates steps resulting in resolution. Balance tasks and activities to consistently follow the university standards for timely enrollment of students in scheduled classes. Monitor and manage student database, student documents, and associated reports. Plans and carries out educational outreach activities to aid in the enrollment of qualified students who are a fit for the partner institution programs. Demonstrates personal and professional integrity.
